Still using FreeBSD but trying PCBSD at present.
KDE 4 in PCBSD isn't stable so stick a while with KDE 3.5.
Option to login as root would be useful to save continual SU's especially during initial post-install setup (PCBSD).

Anyway will try DesktopBSD shortly.

i REALLY hope that desktopbsd developers DO NOT inculde KDE4, at least it becomes 4.3. desktopbsd should use freebsd7 as a base, but kde 3.5.10 is as good as it gets.

>One good improvement would be the wireless stuff

There is a lot of new development in FreeBSD 7 in terms of wireless drivers.

Yeah, i agree with zaratustra..
DesktopBSD 2.0 with FreeBSD 7 and KDE 4 would be a good name.

Other distros with minor kde and freebsd 7 could remain 1.x

I'm downloading it. I like the new freebsd 7 innovations although Linux still catch the eye..
One good improvement would be the wireless stuff.. however, since bsd is still server oriented, i guess this new multicore-system they developed is very good.
Lovely to website servers.
Impressive effort to improve database performance.

nice way to go.
I expect to see DesktopBSD 2.0

Good Páscoa
