Jorge;
If you're still interested, let's take this to email for a bit. I have some ideas which won't cost us too much time and should give us a decent idea of the "feasibility" of moving forward on something.
My background is in product & program management in the closed-source world so, I can't code either. But, here's the thing: F/LOSS projects have been around long enough now that there are a lot of mentors out there who can, at least, warn us of pitfalls & point us to ideas that have worked in the past. And F/LOSS begets F/LOSS.
In general terms, the way I see it is that the first step is to see who here has interest in continuing the development of DBSD. The second is to do an "inventory" of what those interested parties can bring. Most likely, we won't have enough resources from here, specifically. But we don't need to. If we can pull together a scope of the project we're talking about, then we can go out into the greater F/LOSS community to find "fresh blood."
Let me know.
Best,
-Craig
