Hi everyone or whoever is on this group,

Well my fist installation of "DesktopBSD" or short DBSD went well on
a AMD64 DualCore CPU, the only hitch that was when it calcualted the
setup for X, I would say, as at that point the screen went balck and
reported "Out of Range".

The problem was easy fixed with "Ctl-alt-backspace and it carried on.
So there where no further hitches or glitches and everything else was
fine. Also DHCP is running well and you can get in the net "very
fast" I have to say!

With the the rest I would like to see that it will install the
ports collection as well as it would be easier to get some app when
needed. Furthermore I can only guess that RC1 is just for the testing
public, although I think it is "usable" to the full extent. Also
Where is the packet manager?? That could be helpful for the generel
public.

Keep up the good work you guys!!!

I will send antother one wher I have installed it on a Laptop already
and without a hitch, so no stop and all sweet on rebooting, just try
to set this up now.

Laptop is a: acer Aspire 2002LC with 1GIG Ram and 120G HD. Any
questions let me know.

Ernst
